Association of Canadian Community Colleges
The Association of Canadian Community Colleges
(ACCC) is a national association formed in 1972 to represent the interests of
its member institutions to government and industry. Membership is voluntary and
open to community colleges in Canada or institutions that may also be referred
to as an institute of technology, CEGEP, or University college. The ACCC
currently has 136 member institutions.

Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada
The Association of Universities and Colleges of
Canada (AUCC) is an organisation that groups Canada's universities.
Formed in 1911, it represents 95 public and private not-for-profit Canadian
Universities and University Colleges in Canada. It provides member services in
public policy and advocacy, communications, research and information-sharing,
and scholarships and international programs.
Membership in AUCC along with a provincial charter to grant degrees is used as
de facto accreditation in Canada. The association produces a number of
publications, such as University Affairs magazine, Trends in Higher Education,
Momentum (university research), UniWorld magazine, the Directory of Canadian
Universities, and the University Telephone Directory.

Canadian Alliance of Student Associations
The Canadian Alliance of Student Associations
(CASA) was formed in 1995, as an alliance by several post-secondary
institutions' students' unions who had withdrawn from the Canadian Federation of
Students (CFS) in a dispute over its policies and organizational structure and
previously unaffiliated students' unions. Today CASA boasts of a membership of
24 student associations representing over 300,000 students.

Canadian Association of College and University Student Services
The Canadian Association of College and
University Student Services (CACUSS) is a professional association representing
and serving those individuals who work in Canadian post-secondary institutions
in student affairs and services. Since 1973, CACUSS has provided professional
development services and programs for members in all the Canadian provinces.

Canadian Bureau for International Education
The Canadian Bureau for International Education
(CBIE) promotes Canada's international relations through international education
- supporting the interests of foreign nationals studying in Canada and the
Canadians studying abroad. It advocates for the free movement of ideas and
learners across national boundaries. The CBIE is a national, bilingual,
not-for-profit, membership organization comprising members from 200 colleges,
universities, school boards, educational organizations, government agencies, and
businesses.

Canadian Federation of Engineering Students
The Canadian Federation of Engineering Students
(CFES) (Fédération canadienne des étudiants et étudiantes en génie in French) is
the national association of undergraduate engineering student societies in
Canada and exists to organize activities, provide services and interact with
professional and other bodies at the national and international level for the
benefit of Canadian engineering students. The organization is a bilingual
non-profit corporation based in Ottawa Canada, managed by a volunteer team of
engineering students and recent graduates from across Canada.

Canadian Federation of Medical Students
The Canadian Federation of Medical Students
(CFMS) is the national representative body of medical students in Canada. Our
membership includes over 7000 medical students pursuing their medical careers in
14 member schools from coast to coast. As an organization we provide specialized
services, communication and representation to Canadian medical students.

Canadian Federation of Students
The Canadian Federation of Students (CFS) is
the largest student organization in Canada. Founded in 1981, the stated goal of
the CFS is to work at the federal level and provincial levels for high quality,
accessible post-secondary education. The CFS also has a mandate from its members
to work on broader social justices issues.

Canadian Student Loans
Student loans in Canada help post-secondary
students pay for their education in Canada. The federal government funds the
Canada Student Loan Program (CSLP) and the provinces may fund their own programs
or run in parallel with the CSLP. In addition, Canadian banks offer commercial
loans targeted for students in professional programs.

First Student Canada, a subsidiary of the
British company FirstGroup, is a major contractor of school bus services and
public transit systems. The company provides services in Canada comparable to
those delivered by sister companies First Transit and First Student in the
United States. The component parts of the operation consist of the former
Laidlaw services and subsequent new acquisitions by FirstBus Canada.

for student housing listings. Off campus housing is a top priority for students
each year and the Canadian Federation of Students – Canada’s National Student
Union – made it a priority to provide students with a premier website for
finding off campus housing.

Impact Enterpreneurship Group
Impact Enterpreneurship Group is a Canadian
student organization. Founded in 2004, it aims to foster and develop
entrepreneurship among university and high school students. It has offices in
Vancouver, Calgary and Waterloo, Ontario.

National Student Exchange
National Student Exchange (NSE) is an exchange
program for undergraduate students in the United States and Canada. Through this
program, students can study in a different region of the United States or Canada
at little or no additional cost.

Ontario Student Assistance Program
The Ontario Student Assistance Program OSAP is
a financial aid program delivered by the government of Ontario, Canada, for
post-secondary education students. The provincial government and the government
of Canada fund OSAP to provide loans, grants, and scholarships on a needs-based
formula.
OSAP is a program run by the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and
Universities, and funded by the provincial and federal governments. OSAP
provides eligible Ontario students with financial assistance to help pay for
their tuition, books, mandatory fees, living costs and transportation.

Pro Bono Students Canada
Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC) is the world’s
only national pro bono student organization. Each year, under the direction of
law student leaders at every law school in Canada and with support from lawyers
at the National Office, PBSC programs engage approximately 2,000 law students
across the country who combine education with public service by developing their
legal skills while providing critical legal services to hundreds of public
interest organizations, community groups, government agencies, legal clinics and
lawyers working pro bono, as well as unrepresented individuals at courthouses
and administrative tribunals.

Youth Canada
Youth Canada is an initiative started in August
2006 by two Vancouver high school students, Alex Shipillo and Michael Gelbart.
After participating in many enrichment programs and struggling through
scholarship and university applications, Alex and Michael decided to pass on
some of their knowledge and enthusiasm to other high school students.
